Goldberg Photography has been making memories in the Indianapolis area since 1968. You really can't beat that for experience here in Indiana. Followers of my sister blog know of my love of wedding photography. Goldberg Photography is at the top of my list! Dave Cohen and his wife , Jody purchased the studio in 2005. Dave is just a super guy and has the ability to make everyone feel at ease. His pictures are superb - current but with the same traditional values of company creator, Jerry Goldberg.

Our History:

Jerry Goldberg Photography was started by; you guessed it, Jerry Goldberg and his wife Sandy in 1968. Since the early days we have grown into one of the largest studios in the Mid-West. We currently have 7 teams of photographers that cover weddings and 3 portrait photographers. We have done thousands of weddings over the past 35+ years, but we are sensitive enough to know each wedding is different and special to that couple.

Our New Studio:

Dave & Jody Cohen bought the studio in March of 05’, Dave having worked for the Goldberg’s for the past 26 years. The style and services won’t change but the facility did. We are proud of our new facility in the Fishers, located across the street from the Fishers Town Hall just behind the “I love Sushi” restaurant and North Star Health Store.

BBJ Linen

Can I tell you how much I adore BBJ Linen? The linens are TOP OF THE LINE and they have ALOT of linens. Go to their website and you will see what I mean. The easy to use design center allows you to create a look using table linens, napkins,etc. Not creative? Not to worry , they also have an event page with TONS of past events. Jesse Vogel is the rep for the Indy area. He is the BEST! We are honored to feature their linens on the e-vents tablescapes at the BRIDAL SHOW 2009.

Dining Divas - Amy von Eiff

I had the great fortune to meet Amy von Eiff 0f Dining Divas a few months ago. She was the caterer and I was the planner of a 30th birthday bash. I was immediately impressed with Amy.

She loves what she does! It is so evident in the way she talks with passion about her work. I MUST mention the food - absolutely delicious! She and her team created an International Foods spread for the party featuring lots of tasty treats from across the globe. e-vents:How long have you been in the business?
AMY: Dining Divas has been in business since April of 2008

e-vents: What was the inspiration for the name of your company?
AMY: I have been called a “Diva” because there are very few woman in the culinary field and
I strive to help other woman learn how to cook and to make their event special with a female touch.

e-vents: What services/products do you provide?
AMY: Catering Services, Instructional cooking and Personal Chef Services

e-vents: What has been your greatest accomplishment thus far?
AMY: Teaching everyday woman gourmet meals that they never thought they could cook.

e-vents: What is the current trend in your industry?
AMY: The current trend in our industry is to use fresh ingredients by incorporating Organic Produce or Free-Range meats in our cooking and to use International Cuisine in your event menu.

e-vents: Describe your catering style……
AMY:Dining Divas catering style is to use Ethnic Fusion in several of our dishes to set us aside from other caters. We specialize in International Cuisine along with continuing to offer traditional dishes to give a diverse selection of food for your event.

e-vents: Suggestions for clients when preparing for an event
AMY: Dining Divas suggests when preparing for an event to have an agenda or a general style prepared to help plan for the event. Having a well organized event will turn each event into a party with exciting possibilities for creative touches.

Vendor Spotlight - Indy Photo Booth

I absolutely LOVE the idea of photo booths.. I remember photo booths from high school and how we would go to the mall every Saturday for our photo booth pics. So, it was pure joy for me when I found out a few years back that they were making a return. What a fabulously fun way to have that extra something for your reception!

Today our featured guest is Beth Sexton from Indy Photo Booth.

e-vents: How many years have you been in the business?

IPB: Almost 2 years

e-vents:What was the inspiration for your name?

IPB: Our inspiration was photo booths and the great state of Indiana.

e-events: What product does your company provide?

IPB: Photo Booth Rentals. Indy Photo Booths has partnered with a leader in the photo booth industry to provide the best booths in the industry. Our booths are vintage style booths that allow the client to customize their booths as well as receive a digital cd with all pictures taken. The photos print within 10 seconds and print in black & white or color.

e-vents: What would you say has been the highlight for your company thus far?

IPB: Being asked to be in an article for a national bridal magazine

e-vents: Biggest trend in Photo Booths?
IPB: The biggest trend is photo booth save the dates and thank you cards.

e-vents: Most memorable pose you've seen?

IPB: The funniest pose or picture was when we were at a wedding and a Mom and daughter pulled up their dresses and showed their backsides to the bride and groom.

IPB: We belong to America's Photobooth Association, ISES, and PWG
